Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) is a type of low cost health insurance that covers 74 preventive tests and screenings with no out of pocket cost to the member. The covered preventive tests and screenings are categorized by services for Adults, Women & Pregnancy, and Children. Some commonly covered services are mammograms, colonoscopies, immunizations, and well visits.
